Clearance Required: Top Secret

The JAAW Group is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that delivers expertise in engineering solutions. We are seeking out a software architect with at least 7 years experience. JAAW delivers and we want you to continue that legacy to our customer at Hill AFB. This position requires a Top Secret Clearance in order to be considered. Finally, you must work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

Develop Software Solutions

Evaluate and identify software solutions by working with a client to discuss what they need their software to do and analyzing software to deliver the capability desired. You will be expected to conduct research, gather information, interpret data, and then create a solution. These solutions will be geared towards software quality assurance, automated software testing, and software scanning.

Develop Hardware Solutions

In collaboration with the customer provide Network Engineering support including tasks requiring extensive switching, routing, firewall, and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)/Intrusion Detection System (IDS) experience. Design enterprise network routing architectures. Develop solutions involving virtualization techniques and technologies.

Document Projects

Develop, update and maintain documentation required by the customer. Documentation will include but is not limited to every installation and configuration of network and software. System(s) and application(s) configurations must be thoroughly recorded. You must be able to communicate well through writing and be able to create flowcharts and diagrams.

Key Technical Expertise

Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies

Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns

Understanding of various coding methods and computer languages

Data modeling and database design experience

Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes

Experience with service oriented architecture (SOA)

Experience in Simulation Design

Experience in Microservices

Experience in standing up on-prem and cloud based networks

Experience in data migration from on-prem to cloud base networks

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
